The Tropical Utopia of the Cayman Islands

Nestled in the Caribbean Sea just south of Cuba, three small tropical oases make up the utopia of the Cayman Islands. Surrounded by the rich blue ocean and lined with an exquisitely beautiful turquoise green shore, it is the kind of place most people dream about. It is the place of refuge for celebrities, where they are as common to the beaches as exotic parrots, turtles, and over two hundred species of bird found in the islands. It is a true tropical paradise when it comes to Made in Cayman properties.

From pirates to Christopher Columbus, the Cayman Islands are rich in fascinating history. Step into the Little Cayman Museum to learn more about it. Explore “Rebecca’s Cave” to visit the grave of a young girl lost in from a hurricane in the early thirties. To add mystery to the history, dive into shipwrecks like the Doc Polson Wreck, or dive along the Anchor Wall. The islands are rich in dive sites, exotic fish and perfect beaches to rest on between dives.

Hungry? The Cayman Islands offer fine dining, such as the highly rated Kaibo restaurant located on a white sandy beach, to the adorable Heritage Kitchen where you absolutely must try the Jerk Ribs! From barbecue to cannelloni, there is something for everyone. While you’re eating, do not be startled if Tom Cruise orders a coffee and sits across from you, or if Cameron Diaz eats a dark valrhona chocolate pavé while flipping through a magazine a few tables down. As mentioned, the Cayman Islands are a favorite for celebrity vacation.

The Powerhouse Gym at King’s Sport’s Centre is famed for A-list celebrities training. Such celebrities include Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Travolta and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Taylor Swift was seen having dinner at Tukka restaurant in the East End. The reason for such an attraction for high-profile celebrities is the respect they are given by the locals. They are allowed to enjoy themselves without the harassment of paparazzi, the bombardment of photo and autograph requests, and are essentially treated like everyone else; a rare luxury for someone in the limelight.

This tropical oasis is a rare and beautiful gem in the ocean. From beautiful dive locations to fine dining, there is everything you can hope for in a tropical island vacation. The Cayman Islands exceed all expectations of luxury, relaxation, and beauty, making it an absolute tropical paradise and a vacationer’s dream.

Earth Day 2017: ‘The experts are fighting back’

An exuberant rite of spring” is how the New York Times described 22 April, 1970. In Manhattan, and across America, “huge, light-hearted throngs ambled down autoless streets.” Earth Day had been born, an outburst of protest – and revelry – that involved everyone from save-the-whales activists to opponents of new freeways. Denis Hayes, now 72, was the man tasked with organising it. “What we did was pull together an event that told all of those people, ‘You know you’ve really got something in common and this should be one big movement where we’re supportive of one another’.”

It sparked, he tells me, the most profound change in American society since the New Deal. “We now have different kinds of buildings, different kinds of automobiles, different planes, different lighting, different land use. People are choosing to have diets for environmental reasons, choosing to have one child for environmental reasons.” And all that, he says, “didn’t come from political leadership at the top, it came from a bunch of demands down at the grassroots”.

Cindy Whitehead is a highly successful entrepreneur with a track record of accomplishments. In 2016, Whitehead opened up a company called “The Pink Ceiling” in Raleigh. As one may have guessed, The Pink Ceiling is doing exceptional. With a business acumen set as high as hers, Cindy Whitehead’s leadership skills have continued to pave the way for women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs in general. Indeed. She is a pioneer and a marvel in the world of business. At this point, Whitehead is basically competing with herself.

In 2015, she sold Sprout Pharmaceuticals for a whopping 1.5 billion dollars. Given the foundation she has laid down for others to follow, very few people are as worthy as her in being a keynote speaker at the event.

The award can be broken down into 2 main segments, which are for the start-ups and the enterprises. The Start-up Awards segment falls into six different categories. Likewise, the Enterprise Awards segment also falls into six different categories. For the Start-up segment of the show, there will be the Fastest Growing Start-up, Most Steady Start-up, Best Emerging Start-up, Top Start-up Director, Start-up Executive Leader and Most Noteworthy Startup Founder or Investor categories. For the Enterprise Segment, there will be Highest Achieving Enterprise, Most Steady Enterprise, Best Emerging Enterprise, Top Enterprise Director, Enterprise Executive Leader and Most Noteworthy Enterprise Founders or Investors categories. There are three nominees per category, respectively.

In closing, the nomination of each and every businessperson and business was well deserved. Their contribution to the state of North Carolina and the American people are noteworthy. They represent some of the top companies in the tech industry. Also, each company brought something special to the table.
